Bei dem Bauvorhaben „Sanierung des ehemaligen Bundesbahndirektionsgebäudes“ handelt es sich um die Sanierung und Erweiterung eines Verwaltungsgebäudes zu einem modernen Bürostandort. Bei diesem Bauvorhaben ist im besonderen Maße die Optimierung der technischen Ausrüstung, auch in Verbindung mit architektonischen Belangen, untersucht und umgesetzt worden. Dabei ist von Seiten des Investors, für eines der ersten Bestandsgebäude in Deutschland, eine Zertifizierung des Gebäudes gemäß den Vorgaben des „LEED green building rating systems für die Planung und dem Betrieb nachhaltiger Gebäude mit gesunder Arbeitsumgebung“ vorgesehen.
